I am going to be talking about Nelson Mandela and how he helped end apartheid and influence people.  He was a really important person during apartheid and to a lot of people was one of the most important people in history.  Saddly apartheid began in 1948 and nelson mandela helped apartheid end in 1994.  A lot of the things that mandela did kinda back fired because at one point he was in trouble a really long time but he finally ended apartheid.  Now I will talk about his involvement in apartheid.

Nelson Mandela got involved in apartheid because he was black and he wasn’t treated right like every living human being should.  He attended school in Qunu.  He began to study for a bachelor arts degree at the university of Fort Hare but sadly he did not finish the degree.  Mandela was expelled for involvement in a student protest against apartheid.  He also had to help form the ANC Youth group.  He became the first black president in south africa so he could fight for his people.

“When he got involved in apartheid he got arrested for 27 years because he was fighting apartheid for so long” "Biography of Nelson Mandela." Biography – Nelson Mandela Foundation. N.p., n.d. Web. 07 Jan. 2016.  After that he became president.  Mandela was one of several leaders that was able to inspire blacks to not give up hope and fight against apartheid.  Mandela went on a african tour and met many supporters and politicians.  Nelson mandela was a great leader and was a very good person.
