Well the capture site of nelson mandela was and still is a very important place in history.  In 1962 on August 5th, armed apartheid police chased down a car that nelson mandela was in prettending to be the chauffeur.  Madela was able to ecscape the apartheid police mulitiple times, but then when he met with ANC president cheif he finaly got arrested.  It was one of the most historical moments ever.  The nelson mandela capture site is now a major destination in South Africa.  Anyways back to Nelson mandela, sadly he was inprisioned for 27 years which sucks.
